A worker who got trapped in a lift shaft on a Tsim Sha Tsui construction site died on Saturday night after fighting for his life for 24 hours.
The 49-year-old man was called to repair a lift in the New World Centre’s redevelopment site on Salisbury Road on Friday.
At around 6pm, he fell down the lift shaft from four metres up. Firefighters were called in and tried to rescue him.
He was carried from the site two hours later and taken unconscious to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Yau Ma Tei. He...
