A Hong Kong woman has been diagnosed with dengue fever, marking the fourth locally transmitted case reported in the city this year.
The 59-year-old patient, who lives in Tin Ma Court in Wong Tai Sin, had developed fever, chills and skin rash on September 9.
She was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on September 15 and was discharged on Monday in a stable condition. Blood tests confirmed she had been infected by the mosquito-borne dengue virus.
