Sixteen per cent of people who registered to donate their bodies for medical research had not told their families, a survey found.
Researchers at Chinese University who polled 1,000 people also found that the majority were women who had received higher education.
They were among 10,000 people who had registered under the “Silent Teachers Body Donation Programme” to help train doctors in anatomy.
