Hong Kong’s consumer watchdog has urged the government to step up its efforts to regulate the medical beauty service industry, after finding that more than nine in 10 who had undergone medical beauty treatments had the services performed on them by beauticians instead of doctors.
The consumer watchdog recently polled 1,004 men and women aged between 15 and 64, with results showing that about 20 per cent of them had gone through medical beauty treatments, such as Botox injections. It also...
